SEPS History and Statistics
Founded in 1973, Salem Emergency Physicians Service (SEPS) started with only 3 physicians and has continued to grow and thrive since then. Over the past 50+ years, SEPS has continually staffed the Salem Hospital Emergency Department (SHED), and as of December 2024, has taken over the staffing of the Salem Health West Valley Hospital Emergency Department.
Seeing over 300+ patients a day, the Salem Hospital Emergency Department is the busiest on the West Coast between Vancouver and Los Angeles.
SEPS provides clinical and administrative physician leadership throughout the Salem Health organization and Willamette Valley community and will continue to do so for years to come.
As one of Oregon’s only independent, democratic, physician-owned, medical groups; SEPS includes over 60 medical providers and 3 administrative members. We provide competitive compensation, a rewarding practice environment, and flexible scheduling to promote an attractive lifestyle and long career.
As our SEPS mission states, we provide the highest quality care in a safe, efficient, and compassionate manner to patients, their families and our community.
